    RCTC Weekly Visits to Byron High School for Seniors attending RCTC Next Year | Sara Kling-Punt

    College Transition Advisor and Coordinator, Sara Kling-Punt with Rochester Community and Technical College will be available (Third Tuesday Monthly 12:30-3:00 p.m)  in the counseling office to visit with SENIORS planning on attending RCTC in the fall of 2022.  To schedule a visit with Sara stop into counseling to sign up on her clipboard and pick up a College Rep/Student Participation slip which will serve as your hall pass on the day of your appointment.

    Super College Saturday - The Inclusion, Access and Success Committee | October 2, 2021 11:00-1:00 p.m.

    Seniors (Class of 2022) statewide are invited to attend Super College Saturday. This is a virtual event for seniors to learn about the college admission process. Sessions will include information regarding financial aid, paying for college, a student panel and also discuss tips for the college search.  Use this LINK to learn more and to register.

    Registration Open: Minnesota Education Fairs 2021-22: Virtual College Exploration Program | October 5-7, 2021 | 

    MACAC is pleased to offer a Virtual College Exploration program for Minnesota students October 5-7.  Students and parents are both welcome to participate and may do so using THIS LINK.  Students will choose from 20 panels on topics like paying for college, financial aid, application essays, internships and more! Additionally, there will be information sessions from more than 100 colleges located all over the country.  

    Registration Open: Discover Mayo Clinic - Mondays beginning October 11, 2021

    Discover Mayo Clinic is an opportunity for high school students grades 10-12 who are interested in health care to learn about various careers within the industry by connecting with professionsl in the career fields of: physician, surgical tech, EMT, pathology/histology, sports medicine, physical therapy and physician assistant.  Students will meet with professionals every Monday from 7pm to 8:30pm via ZOOM.  Cost is $10 and you MUST register in advance.  Registration closes on 10/6 or sooner if it fills.  Register Here 

    Registration Open: Construct Tomorrow - October 27, 2021

    Are you interested in a career in the construction industry?  If your answer is YES, then we invite you to attend this year’s Construction Career Fair - Construct Tomorrow.  It is scheduled for Wednesday, October 27th in Rochester.  Students attending the fair will leave BHS by bus at 8:30am and return by 11:00am. At the fair, you’ll have the opportunity to speak with individuals working in all areas of the construction field...a great opportunity you don’t want to miss!  MASKS ARE REQUIRED ON THE BUS AND AT THE EVENT.  BHS has been given 45 spots for this event.  The first 45 students to sign up will be allowed to attend.  Because of our limit on attendees, please make sure the date and time works for you before you take a spot!  Sign up today!  Construction Career Fair  (This opportunity is for students only).

    Minnesota West Community & Technical College Law Enforcement Day  - Thursday, October 28, 2021 

    The law enforcement program at Minnesota West Community & Technical College, Worthington campus will be holding a law enforcement day on Thursday, October 28, 2021. The law enforcement day is set up to allow potential students to come to the Worthington campus to “sit in” on a typical day’s classes that law enforcement students attend while in the program. This will give potential students a feeling for the program and allow them to meet the instructors, tour the campus and program facilities, and receive information on the program.  View full schedule and register to attend HERE.
